Lights, camera, action…

The Leigh Short Film Festival, supported with funding from the Adactus BIG community grants, marked its biggest and best year yet with another stunning celebration of cinema.

Another sold-out audience at The Turnpike Centre in Leigh enjoyed a night of 13 short films, ranging from experimental documentaries to lively animations and gritty dramas.

The top ‘Audience’s Choice’ prize went to “Taubman” by Ben Price, Matt Hilton & Tim Royale and starring Jack P Shepherd & Ian Puleston Davies with over 50 per cent of the vote.

There were other winners this year taking home the animation award , best North West production  and young directors at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (Alra) North in Wigan to name a few.

Breathe Investment Grants (BIG) are available to support small scale community projects that help improve the quality of life for local residents and make a real difference to the neighbourhoods where we operate.
