Up to 200 of Greater Manchester’s most entrenched rough sleepers will be helped off the streets and supported to build a new life by a partnership made up of Greater Manchester housing providers, private rented sector partners, social investment partners and voluntary sector delivery partners, which has today been awarded a £1.8m Social Impact Bond (SIB) to deliver long-term change for some of the region’s most vulnerable homeless people. Adactus’s ‘connect’ customer contact service, received nationwide recognition winning the ‘Small Centre of the Year’ award at the 2017 Customer Contact Association’s (CCA) Excellence Awards ceremony on 16 November in Glasgow. This week, residents from Coppull, Chorley came together for a digital training session at The Heys, one of our housing schemes in the Borough. Kelly Bond from the Group’s Breathe team delivered Free digital training on Tuesday 14 November to a number of Adactus tenants and local residents that attended the session. Last Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on health and safety (with particular focus on fire safety) met at our head office in Leigh to continue their scrutiny.  The main purpose of the interim meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the interim report produced by our internal affairs team, and to challenge the findings.  Residents were also given the opportunity to determine which direction the rest of the investigation will go.
