The BIG team have now awarded £225,000 worth of grant money for 2017 to worthy community projects across the areas we work in. The projects were voted on by a panel of residents from the Adactus 500, having had a huge response once again. In total, the funding has supported 147 projects.  These projects range from exercise sessions, love food / hate waste campaign, a tea dance, numerous gardening projects and the hugely successful holiday fun and food sessions that ran over the summer months …

This is the quarterly review of anti-social behavior (ASB) activity reported to Adactus. The tenant scrutiny panel into ASB recommended the data are made available on our website. In the period July to September 2017, there were 566 individuals reported to us that were believed to be causing ASB or tenancy fraud (representing 455 cases it is common in cases of this type for there to be multiple alleged perpetrators).  The most common kinds of nuisance reported were: noise (27%), …

It was great to take part at The Deanery High School & Sixth Form College‘s Career Fair on Monday 16 October aimed at secondary school pupils and sixth form college students. The Leigh Short Film Festival, supported with funding from the Adactus BIG community grants, marked its biggest and best year yet with another stunning celebration of cinema. Another sold-out audience at The Turnpike Centre in Leigh enjoyed a night of 13 short films, ranging from experimental documentaries to lively animations and gritty dramas.
