A tenant who pretended to live in a two bedroom terraced home he rented from Adactus Housing in Moss Side, was convicted of tenancy fraud at Manchester Magistrate’s Court. In Manchester’s first tenancy fraud case successfully brought to justice, Khaled Abedalrazek, formerly of Great Southern St, Moss Side, was handed out a criminal record, fined £1,003 and ordered to pay £1,000 in court costs. The alleyway on Siddall Street in Longsight has been given a clean sweep. Over the years, the area had been plagued by historic fly tipping and littering. ‘Team Siddall’ have had enough and stepped up to take action. The clean up marked the start of a wider plan to help transform the area. The Adactus ‘Hit Squad’ have recently been working alongside the community gardeners of New Mossbrook Community Allotment in Harpurhey, to help improve the overall condition of the garden. Over the past few years, the garden had proven too hard to maintain for the allotment volunteers.  Thanks to the Adactus ‘Hit Squad’, the garden has now been restored to its former beauty and should be much easier for the volunteers to maintain going forward.  The garden now has a weed free pathway, a flagged polly …

Adactus has signed up again this year to be a drop off location for the public donating shoebox gifts for the homeless around Manchester over the Christmas period.  We are urging people to donate shoe boxes full of items that will make the life of someone who sleeps rough, a little bit more bearable on December 25. We recently asked for our customers views on automated telephone systems, including menu systems controlled by key presses as well as voice recognition menu systems. We learned a lot from this the feedback, and the results were used to help us with a procurement process for new contact centre telephony software.
