On Wednesday, the Adactus500 scrutiny panel on anti social behaviour met at our Head Office in Leigh for a final time to finish their scrutiny exercise. The main purpose of the final meeting was to give scrutiny panel members the opportunity to look in detail at the final report produced by our internal affairs team, consider the recommendations, and add their own recommendations too.  Click here to view the notes from Wednesday’s meeting. The Adactus Housing Neighbourhood Fund have recently funded garden furniture and plants to Kingsmead Court residents in Croft. The ‘Young at Heart’ residents group applied for money from the neighbourhood fund to make improvements to the communal gardens.  The residents work very hard to keep their own gardens looking nice and wanted to make all the communal areas bloom as well. Neighbours and residents from Gorton attended the Debdale and Woodland Community Associations Spring Fair at Aspinal Church, Manchester, a day supported by the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund.  The event saw over 100 people coming through the door to soak up the community spirit.  Activities included, face painting, art and crafts, bric-a-brac stalls, balloon making and a magic show. Adactus Housing Association is helping school children in Moss Side and Hulme to encourage local residents to keep their streets tidy. Pupils from St Mary’s CE, Webster, Divine Mercy, Rolls Crescent and St. Margaret’s primary schools did a litter pick around St. Mary’s CE, before unveiling their new signs that let local residents know how they feel about environmental problems in the area.
