Seven community groups have scooped funding for their projects thanks to ‘Miles Platting You Decide’, a community funding project run by Adactus Housing Association. This is the second year we run the fund successfully in Miles Platting where £10k is made available for local community groups to bid for.  Local residents help decide which projects will receive a share of the fund. Tenants looking to start their own businesses in the Wigan and Leigh area are being given a leg up by the Adactus Housing Group. Two years ago, we revised our Resident Involvement Framework which sets out how we engage with our residents.  We are now in the process of reviewing this framework to ensure it fits in with current government and our own residents’ expectations of how we should be involving and empowering residents.
