This is the third year that we have published the Tenants’ Annual Reports. They show the ‘big picture’; using articles, photographs, numbers and graphs to illutrate our service improvements for 2011/12, they also highlight our priorities for 2012/13. There are two themes that run through this years annual reports:   1. The refinement of customer services 2. Value for Money  In each of the different ‘big stories’ throughout the report, we outline the changes in our services and explain how these changes improve the overall quality of the service.  …

An innovative street soccer programme that is designed to keep youths out of mischief is returning to Heysham. The project which ran in April was that much of a success it was decided to fund the project again. Freestyle Urban Soccer is a Chorley based company that provides temporary sports facilities in areas where children would otherwise have little or no opportunity to take part in organised sporting activity. Council tenants in Miles Platting, Manchester are more satisfied than ever.  That’s the conclusion of our latest survey in the are where Adactus manages 1,500 homes on behalf of Manchester City Council. Nine out of ten tenants surveyed said they were happy with the overall level of service.  More than 200 tenants took part in the survey, which was carried out earlier this year. Over £80m has been invested by the Renaissance Consortium under a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) scheme  in partnership with Manchester City Council.  …

Failed repair appointments happen when one of our responsive repair operatives attends a pre arranged repair appointment, but the tenant is not home to allow access to complete the repair. In recent years the average number of completed jobs per day, per operative has increased from 3.8 to over 6.5.  The introduction of automated SMS texting prior to attending appointments has helped reduce failed repair visits.
