Residents at Boyer Court, Maghull, have received grant funding of £1116.02 from the Adactus Housing Association’s Neighbourhood Fund after bidding to make environmental improvements to the front of their apartment block. The funding has been used to plant 14 Sorbus Aria Majestica trees with holding stakes which will provide a natural privacy screen for residents at Boyer Court and also the properties which are overlooked on Boyer Avenue. Bootle base children’s charity, Ykids, have successfully bid for £2,000 of funding through the Adactus Housing Association Neighbourhood Fund. This funding will enable Ykids to run a project called “Stay and Play” which will take place during the summer holidays and will provide safe, supervised, street based play and other activities for children living in the Bootle area. North Manchester walking group the ‘Moston Marchers’ recently celebrated their first anniversary with an afternoon in the sun at  Dovestones Reservoir.  The group set up by Adactus Housing Association and the Ramblers Association’s ‘Get Walking Keep Walking’ formed in April 2010. During the past twelve months Moston Marchers have proved how putting your best foot forward not only makes you healthier and happier but gets you chatting with your neighbours!  Moston Marchers have been leading local residents around little known pathways …
