Offers have been developed around Home (repairs services and quality of accommodation and external areas), Neighbourhood (anti social behaviour and estate management) and Tenant Involvement and Empowerment (communication, customer care and involvement in decision making). Adactus has teamed up with student volunteers from The University of Manchester to help residents clear the overgrown Grove Lee Garden in East Manchester. On Wednesday 16th February between 10am – 3.30pm, 14 volunteers joined local residents and Adactus staff to clear away bushes, brambles and weeds at the overgrown garden on the corner of Lees Street and Rushton Grove in Openshaw. The four National Tenant Organisations (NTOs) have published a review of last year’s “annual reports to tenants” produced by housing associations, councils and ALMOs. Although the annual reports produced by members of the Adactus Housing Group were not part of the sample the NTOs reviewed, the report provides a useful insight into tenant perspectives into what makes a good annual report and will give us ideas for improvements to be made in next year’s edition. Adactus and Beech Housing Association tenants living in Sefton have a new Neighbourhood Officer. Rebecca West (pictured), who has worked for the Adactus Housing Group since 2007, will be responsible for tenancy management queries and for neighbourhood management for tenants living in Bootle, Crosby and Southport. The news comes following a reorganisation of Adactus’s housing services in the North West as a result of the closure of the Breathe+ office in Bootle.
