    Elevate East Lancashire, one of Government’s Housing Market Renewal pathfinders recognises Adactus’s tardis terraces in Nelson as role models for sustainability in Pennine Lancashire.    Adactus’s ‘tardis terrace’ style refurbishment of homes on Every Street, Nelson was celebrated as part of Elevate East Lancashire’s Sustainable Stars’ competition, alongside other local projects in Pennine Lancashire.

Eight apprentices have ‘graduated’ to full time jobs from an award-winning training programme in Miles Platting, East Manchester.  The construction trainees completed two-year Modern Apprenticeships through the Renaissance Consortium training programme. Renaissance is compromised of Adactus Housing Association, regeneration specialist Lovell and Investors in the community.  It is carrying out a wide ranging regeneration programme in the area and the apprentices have secured work with these companies and sub contractors.  Curtis Buckley, 18, from Ancoats said: “Getting the apprenticeship has …

    Residents have taken action to spruce up their village!  Members of the Gin Pit Village Resident’s Association in Astley joined police community support officers to take part in a clean up and gardening day. The event took place prior to a Halloween and bonfire party at the village, with help from Adactus Housing Association and Connaughts staff.  The environmental work included litter picking, removal of unwanted goods in to skips and planting in communal gardening areas.
