Adactus Housing Association, Beech Housing Association, Chorley Community Housing, Miles Platting

Adactus Housing Group provide a number of apprenticeship opportunities throughout the year and are hoping to increase the number of positions offered in the future. Adactus provide good training opportunities, and the ability to train to NVQ Level 3 for all our apprenticeship positions.

Throughout the delivery of our Affordable Housing Programme, we encourage contractors to provide apprenticeship opportunities and to work with locally based sub-contractors to support the local economy.

We employ a dedicated Enterprise & Funding Manager who is responsible for the co-ordination of all our internal apprenticeship opportunities, work experience placements and graduate trainee programme.  Over the past year we have supported over 100 people with work experience opportunities.  If you would like further information about work experience at Adactus please contact your job advisor for more information.

Our internal apprenticeship programme was reviewed in 2011 and we now employ around 20 apprentices and improvers across the organisation.  We employ both trade and office based apprentices on 2 or 3 year initial fixed contracts.  For more general information about apprenticeships please visit the following websites:

Graduate Trainee Programme

Our graduate trainee programme was re-launched in 2012.  We look to recruit graduates approximately every 2years around summer, so please visit our careers page frequently for more details.

Work in the community

We also work closely with our residents signposting them to organisations that can support them with searching for jobs and other work related activities or events.  Our focus is to assist residents into employment and help to break down the barriers they face to maximise their chances of gaining sustainable employment.  We publish the latest vacancies and training opportunities in the community on our blog.

The national careers service is an invaluable resource for information on developing skills and employment. If you are looking to gain more experience in your chosen field then volunteering would be a good option. Traineeships are also helpful in preparing you to get ready for the world of work as well as improving your chances of getting an apprenticeship or other jobs.  Work clubs can help individuals seek employment, prepare CVs & cover letters, complete application forms, gain confidence and much more.

'Step Forward'

‘Step Forward' is a free & confidential service for all Adactus tenants. The aim of this service is to assist tenants in their search for employment and training, personal development, and self employment. We offer one-to-one advice, careers guidance, interview preparation, C.V writing and much more.

On a practical level there are a number of ways in which we may be able to support your needs. We can offer work experience and volunteering opportunities. We also deliver Apprenticeship and Graduate programmes internally.  Contact us for more information.
