    • Contact your gas and electricity suppliers to let them know that you are now responsible for the meters in your new home. When this is done you must telephone our contact centre to arrange a safety check on the gas appliances in your home. The gas supply will not be connected until this check is done.

    • Take out home contents insurance for your home. We do not insure your furniture, belongings or decorations against theft, fire, vandalism and burst pipesContact us if you would like details of a home insurance scheme.

    • Notify key people of your change of address.

    We will contact you to arrange a visit soon after you move in.  We will ensure you are getting all the help you need at the beginning of your tenancy.

    If you are going into a sheltered scheme your main point of contact will be your Scheme Co-ordinator, and in supported accommodation this role is taken on by your Support Officer. Support Officers work in partnership with external agencies to help you in your tenancy. If you would like to know more about the Tenancy Support Services available and whether you are eligible to receive this service, please call our call connect or mobile connect service.
