Adactus and Beech Housing Associations have announced a £35,000 Neighbourhood Fund for Sefton. They are looking for residents, community groups and voluntary organisations to submit bids for projects that will benefit neighbourhoods where their residents live. Applications for the fund, now in its third year, are judged by a panel of residents. Adactus Housing Association has announced a £20,000 Neighbourhood Fund for Wigan and Leigh. Adactus is looking for residents, community groups and voluntary organisations to submit bids for projects that will benefit neighbourhoods where Adactus residents live. Residents of a Birkdale street can breathe a sigh of relief after a nightmare neighbour agreed to surrender her tenancy to Adactus Housing Association. The decision of the 43 year old female from Liverpool Road in Birkdale to hand in her keys brings to an end over 12 months of drunken behaviour, verbal abuse and constant noise by her and visitors to her property and concerted legal action by Adactus to tackle the problem. The New Mossbrook Community Garden was bustling with activity when Greater Manchester Police chose the garden to hold a ‘Meet & Greet the Community day as part of their Harpurhey Police Week of Action.  Adactus Housing Association has been working closely with the police to help bring the local community closer together and show residents the different  types of work that the police get involved in.  15 police officers came along to the garden including Crime Scene Investigators and the …

Adactus is the first housing association in the country to make a successful start on site claim under the Homes and Communities Agency’s (HCA) Affordable Homes Programme. The payment has been made on a scheme of 16 two bedroom apartments at Flixton in Trafford, near Manchester.  Practical completion for the scheme is scheduled for January 2013.
