Residents and resident groups in Neston came together to celebrate their success in securing funding from Adactus housing association on Monday 13 February 2012. Dave Carter, Group Head of Sustainability at Adactus joined Councillors Abdul Jilani and Louise Gittins to present the award certificates. The East Manchester Users Group (EMUG) have used the £500 worth of funding, secured from the Adactus Neighbourhood Fund, to pay for a weekly meeting place at a local Church Hall.  The group helps individuals with mental health issues through peer support. We have launched our very own ‘Academy’ in Leigh.  The Adactus Young Persons Package Project (AYUPP) is part of Adactus Housing Association’s ‘breathe’ regeneration programme.  The programme aims to tackle worklessness amongst residents and the wider community in which we operate.   The young people taking part, are not in education or employment and aged 16 to 25.  They are either residents of the Association or are receiving support from our Supported Housing team.  The Academy has been developed in partnership with Myerscough College …

It’s often difficult to find things to entertain the kids during the school holidays, but this February Half Term, the Manchester Sport and Leisure Trust has the answer, as Miles Platting Swimming Pools will be free for children and adults all week. To mark National Apprenticeship Week, apprentices and staff from Adactus Housing Group attended a morning of workshops at The Wright Robinson College in Gorton, Manchester.  The aim of the event was to inform Year 10 students about post 16 careers options with the main focus being around the benefits and structure of apprenticeships.
