Here at Springbank Court we have an extreemly active social club which organises entertainment and outings for the residents here.
On the right we have a picture of Barry Black performing the Shofar horn as part of the Rosh Hashanah celebrations in October. The blowing of the Shofar (a ram's horn) is a reminder of Abraham's sacrifice of a ram, instead of his son, Issac. Barry had come to Springbank to play for one of the residents, Ros Nesbit, but his performance was enjoyed by a crowd of Jewish and non-Jewish residents!
The social club has also successfully applied for grants from Kellogg's for our healthy living fund (£300) and GMPTE for transport on our Christmas trip (£150).
For more information on the Social Club, please contact Ros Nesbit c/o Sue Martin on (0161) 795 3011 or » email Sue.
